“As a firefighter and EMT, I see it all the time. An emergency happens, we’re called, and the family is often the last to know. That’s why I built ExpectFire.”

How ExpectFire works

Three steps. That’s it.

Get text alerts the moment Fire or EMS is dispatched to any address you care about.

No password to remember. We’ll text you a verification code, and you’re in.

  2. Add an address

Nothing to install, wear, or plug in, and nobody at the address ever knows it’s there. Pinellas County addresses are live now — Hillsborough is next.

  3. Get alerted

Why ExpectFire

Built by a firefighter.
Designed to get families informed faster.

ExpectFire was created by Paul Govoni, a St. Petersburg firefighter and EMT, after seeing the same problem again and again: when an emergency happens, family members are often the last to know.

That’s why we built our own dispatch technology and operate it ourselves, so alerts can move quickly from emergency dispatch data to the people who need to know.

Built from real-world experience

ExpectFire was shaped by years of firsthand experience responding to emergencies and seeing what families go through in those first critical moments. The service is designed around what actually happens on scene, not assumptions about how emergencies unfold.

Infrastructure we operate ourselves

Our systems continuously process incoming dispatch activity and identify incidents involving the addresses our users have added. Because we build, operate, and monitor the infrastructure ourselves, we have greater control over how quickly alerts are processed and delivered.

Built to close one important gap

When emergency services are dispatched to a home, the people who care about someone there may not know anything has happened. ExpectFire was created to help close that information gap, so family members and trusted contacts can know sooner.
